Africa Centre has been selected by the Wheel to form its own People's Conversation Groups.

The Wheel has launched this initiative as part of its Rethinking Citizenship project.

The Wheel believes that "citizenship is not just about a passport or voting: it's about what we expect and what is expected of us, our rights and responsibilities to each other. It's the basis for a shared understanding of what a fair and just society means. We believe the time is right to rethink citizenship for today's Ireland."

Please refer to: http://peoplesconversation.ie/ for further details.

In this perspective The Wheel has appealed Africa Centre to apply to the initiative and bring together its own People's Conversation Group. We are much delighted about this project and are convinced the African Diaspora definitely has to participate in these Conversations as members of the Irish society.
