Funding & Finance Programme Officer
Ms Amira Al-areqi – holds a B.A. Degree in Accounting from Sana’a University and an MBA from Lebanon International University. She is a financial professional with over 7 years work experience in the international humanitarian non-profit organization, working on integrated programs; WASH, Health and Nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction, and lifesaving medical care.
Her work in the humanitarian sector in Yemen, a country plagued by conflicts and war, working in the field closely with vulnerable people, has reinforced her interest in the field of human rights. This has led her to pursue further studies in this field, as she is currently pursuing her second Master’s degree in Human Rights and Conflict Management at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Italy.
Amira is an expert in budgeting, finance, and donation management. She has practical knowledge and experience of financial reporting requirements of donors, notably EuropeAid/ECHO, MOFA, DANIDA, USAID, etc. Besides, she also has skills in capacity building in donor regulations, policies and procedures.
