Mr Mbemba Jabbi – Educated at Kimmage Development Studies Centre (KDSC), University College Dublin (UCD), National University of Ireland – Galway (NUIG) and All Hallows College, College of Dublin City University (DCU) all in Ireland. Jabbi started working in development over 20 years ago after his studies at the prestigious Rural Development Institute (RDI) in The Gambia and became a Community Development Assistant. His career in development practice has been in; microfinance, humanitarian assistance, research, policy formulation, monitoring and evaluation and management.
Jabbi has appeared as an expert contributor on integration, social inclusion, migration and development issues to numerous high-level panels and forums within Europe and on the African continent. He is a great advocate of African diaspora empowerment, especially diaspora taking a role in the development of their countries of origin and descent and diaspora being the voice for themselves. He has written numerous reports and articles on African diaspora and development.
