About Bim
Bim Oyediran is a passionate Community Health Worker based in Dublin’s inner city, with a versatile background spanning education, project management, governance, and compliance. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to community empowerment, particularly for African women and girls both locally and across the continent.
Having lived in Ireland, the UK, and Canada—and travelled extensively throughout Africa—Bim brings a unique global lens to her community engagement work. She is also a proud member of Kwanda, a community fund supporting grassroots projects in health, period poverty, and access to clean water.
Outside of her health advocacy, Bim is a freelance lifestyle and community photographer, capturing vibrant visual narratives that amplify the stories and experiences of underrepresented communities.
Role at Africa Centre Ireland
In her role supporting Community Engagement & Photography, Bim helps foster inclusive dialogue within African diaspora communities. She contributes to the Centre’s mission by supporting meaningful, community-led initiatives and using her photography to visually celebrate the diversity, strength, and richness of African identities in Ireland and beyond.
Onyewuchi Obirieze

About Obirieze
Onyewuchi Obirieze is an African of the Igbo nation in Nigeria. Trained in geography, geopolitics, applied spirituality & Christian Theology. He's currently living in Dublin working as an independent researcher, writer and dignity restoration consultant in the Catholic, African and Inner-City communities. He’s the author of Indigenous Spirituality – Discernments from Christian Missionary Activities in Nigeria.​
Role at Africa Centre Ireland
As a Community Participation Programme Officer, Diana plays a vital role in strengthening inclusive engagement across African and other marginalised communities in Ireland. She supports the design and delivery of culturally sensitive, community-led programmes that foster civic participation, challenge systemic barriers, and build solidarity.
Her work is rooted in the belief that diverse voices must not only be heard, but valued and empowered, to shape stronger, more connected societies.
Carine Mambou

About Carine
Carine Mambou is a Cameroonian-born author, journalist, and social entrepreneur currently based in Ireland. With over 19 years of experience across the media and humanitarian sectors, Carine is the visionary Founder and CEO of MEMA Group Ltd and the CAD AID Foundation—initiatives focused on girls' education and the fight against gender-based violence across Africa and Europe. A passionate advocate for social justice, Carine serves as an Ambassador for the African Union/CIEFFA (Centre for Girls’ and Women’s Education in Africa) and for New Women Connectors, advancing the rights of migrants, refugees, and women across Francophone Africa and Europe. She is also an award-winning public speaker and certified coach specialising in mental well-being, inclusion, and educational empowerment.
Role at Africa Centre Ireland
As Programme Manager, Carine brings a powerful blend of activism, storytelling, and community leadership to Africa Centre Ireland. She is committed to designing inclusive, action-driven programmes that reflect the real needs of migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. Through her work, Carine hopes to foster a strong sense of belonging, amplify underrepresented voices, and promote long-term integration and leadership.
Her guiding belief is that through collaboration, storytelling, and impactful outreach, we can create a more inclusive, confident, and equitable society.
Daniela Catalina Jiménez-Montero
Community Engagement and Legal Information Officer
About Daniela
Daniela Catalina Jiménez-Montero, MSc, is a feminist economist with a strong background in social research, public policy, and international cooperation across Europe and Latin America. She specialises in addressing social issues through an intersectional lens, with a focus on gender, migration, care systems, and LGBTIQA+ rights. Her academic qualifications include degrees in Development Economics from the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica and Gender, Politics and International Relations from University College Dublin. Daniela is deeply committed to advancing social justice, equity, and inclusive systems.
Role at Africa Centre Ireland
As Community Engagement and Legal Information Officer at Africa Solidarity Centre Ireland, Daniela engages with communities and institutions while supporting asylum seekers with access to information on international protection and integration. Her work is rooted in a human rights-based and gender-sensitive approach, aimed at improving the lives of individuals facing intersectional vulnerabilities. Through her role, she contributes to strengthening inclusion, empowering communities, and advancing the Centre’s mission of building a more just and equitable society.
Georgia van der Westhuizen
Youth Programmes & Development
About Georgia
Georgia van der Westhuizen is a policy and programme management professional with experience across gender-based violence prevention, human rights, child rights, international affairs, and online safety. She has worked with the Australian Human Rights Commission on child justice and with Australia’s eSafety Commissioner on technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Currently based in Dublin, Georgia is pursuing an M.Phil in Race, Ethnicity and Conflict at Trinity College Dublin, with a focus on gender and forced migration. Her research explores intergenerational resilience among migrant women. With a multiracial South African heritage and upbringing in Melbourne, her work is deeply grounded in social justice and anti-racism.

In her role supporting Youth Programmes and Development at Africa Solidarity Centre Ireland, Georgia focuses on fostering intercultural solidarity and strengthening community engagement among African young people in Ireland. She brings her expertise in human rights, gender justice, and inclusive programme design to support the delivery of culturally responsive and impactful initiatives. Through her work, she aims to create meaningful opportunities for youth participation, amplify diverse voices, and contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable society.
Samirah Mavinga

About Samirah
Samirah Mavinga is an Economics student at Maynooth University with a strong interest in data-driven decision-making, finance, and digital transformation. Her academic background spans micro and macroeconomics, behavioural economics, econometrics, international trade, sustainable finance, and labour markets. She has gained practical experience supporting SMEs through digital transformation initiatives, including implementing financial systems, forecasting tools, and CRM platforms to enhance efficiency and operations. Samirah brings strong analytical skills, proficiency in digital tools, and a structured, solutions-oriented approach, with a growing passion for supporting mission-driven organisations and delivering meaningful impact.

As a Member supporting Finance and Fundraising at Africa Solidarity Centre Ireland, Samirah contributes to strengthening financial oversight, improving budgeting processes, and supporting strategic fundraising efforts. She works to ensure resources are managed effectively to support community-focused programmes while helping to build sustainable funding systems. Driven by a commitment to impact, she aims to support the organisation’s growth, enhance its sustainability, and contribute to initiatives that create meaningful change for African and migrant communities in Ireland.
Ana Devine McHale

About Ana
Ana Devine McHale is an Apprentice Solicitor and Risk Associate at Deloitte, specialising in conduct risk and regulatory compliance advisory within the financial services sector. She has gained valuable experience in regulatory policy and advocacy through roles with Deloitte and Financial Services Ireland (Ibec). Ana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government (Law, Economics and Politics) and is currently completing the FE1 examinations with the Law Society of Ireland, alongside pursuing a Professional Diploma in Compliance. She is a passionate volunteer with experience in poverty alleviation, protection of vulnerable persons, and youth development, guided by values of kindness, collaboration, and community engagement.

At Africa Solidarity Centre Ireland, Ana supports the organisation as a Finance and Fundraising volunteer. She contributes her expertise in governance, compliance, and risk management to strengthen organisational processes, support strategic fundraising, and promote inclusive engagement. Through her work, she aims to foster dialogue-driven initiatives, enhance policy development, and support the Centre’s mission of building a more inclusive and equitable society.
