Professional Background
Mamy Nzema Nkoy is an Irish community leader, environmental champion, peace ambassador, and advocate for social justice, diversity, and inclusion. Originally from DR Congo, she has lived in Ireland for 18 years, dedicating herself to community development and grassroots activism. Mamy holds BSc (Hons) degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry from Technological University Dublin, with expertise in environmental, forensic, pharmaceutical chemistry, and public engagement. She is also a board member of the African Solidarity Centre Ireland and Familibase, and the founder of the Cherry Orchard Environmental Group—leading local sustainability and climate action initiatives.

Inspired by a deep commitment to advocating for African communities in Ireland, Mamy joined Africa Centre to promote integration, representation, and empowerment. As Vice-Chairperson, she provides strategic guidance, strengthens partnerships, and advances the board’s vision. Mamy’s leadership and policy advocacy help drive impactful initiatives that foster inclusion, social justice, and youth engagement.

A former local election candidate, Mamy believes in the motto: “Be the change you want to see in the world.” Fluent in French, English, and Lingala, she loves organizing community festivals that celebrate diversity.
